Why we started
One of us grew up in a family HVAC business. The office was a whiteboard, a landline and a shoebox of carbon copy invoices. It worked — until it didn't. Calls got missed on the busy weeks. Quotes sat in the truck. Customers paid whenever they got around to it.
So we looked at the software out there. Half of it was built for 200-truck operations and priced that way: per-seat fees, annual contracts, a "success manager," and a rollout measured in months. The other half was a spreadsheet with a logo. Small shops got overcharged or ignored, and most of them stayed on paper because paper at least didn't lie to them.
SwiftAir is the thing we wanted back then. All the pieces the big guys have — dispatch, quoting, invoicing, card payments, texting, online booking — in one place, in plain language, for one flat monthly price a three-truck shop can actually justify.
What we're after
Give the small shop the same tools as the big outfit, without the price tag or the complexity. If a feature needs a training seminar, we got it wrong. If your invoice goes out the same day the job ends and the money shows up next week instead of next quarter, we got it right.
We're a small American company ourselves. We know what it means when a slow month is actually slow. That's why there's no contract to sign and nothing to cancel by certified mail — if SwiftAir isn't earning its keep, you turn it off.
